Wow there are alot of different opinions on what the greatest songs are. A good song is like poetry it reveals itself with time. A good song also has a unvirsal meaning that we all can agree on. A good song will always have some ambigousness to it that can be argued, ( maybe even the song writer cannot be certain of its meaning), it should send that weird tingly feeling down the back of your neck when you get a sense of the songs intent and lastly should make sit there and ask the question why is this such a good fu*king song. I know not all of you will agree but the songs that have fullfilled some of these requirements (if not all) for me are
Heartshaped box- Nirvana
dope hat- Manson
cherub rock- Smashing pumkins
grey matter- Jewel
break on through #2- Doors
deep inside of you- Third eye blind ( I didn't want to put it on but I had to)
Soulja's story- 2pac ( I may be way off but I could put up an argument that it is dealing with the id, ego, and the superego)
voodoo chile (blues version)- Hendrix
your genius hands- Everclear
dazed and confused(live version from BBC)- Led Zepplin
tear you apart- She wants revenge (I know, I am sorry, there seems to be something more to the lyrics. When I posted a question for someone to tell me why this song sucks no one did. So, please debate me on this song. If you can show me how this song is just another fuse piece of pop crap please do so. I am begging for some one to show me how this song sucks. If you disagree with any other songs feel free to email me. Please be able to back up your claims.)
