In the future:
1) Men will always be doing more physically hard work (such as being in forces.. etc) as men are physically stronger.
2) Men and women will be equally in the office related business or will become heads of states or will be come inventors and so on (as they have equal brain power)
I suppose that's about it.
It is important to have women's contribution.

ABSOLUTE equality needs to defined in order to answer this question. In many ways men and women are equal, and in many ways both have problems. It always seems that women have the greater struggle, but men have it tough too (and I am a woman).
I always thought that the days where the women were expected to stay home and look after the kids and the house were totally degrading to women. And then I entered a debate with an ex's grandfather (who had lived it), and what I found was truly interesting. He said that it was never about keeping women at home because they weren't as good, if anything men thought women above having to do that. He said that all the men he knew and himself put women on a pedestal so the men went out to work to try and give their lady everything she could possibly want. It took me a long time to come to terms with it, but I see his point. I have also had this conversation with my grandmother, who did go out to work while she had four young boys...and she said the same thing. Although it was tough for women to have a career, and not for the most part because people wondered if she had the capacity; but people just didn't understand why she would want to subject herself to menial tasks, like earning a wage. My grandmother, who is very forward in her thinking, says that in a lot of ways the world would be a better place if we took the time to see what worked and why from then and bring it to now. For instance, they may have been at home, but today that community spirit seems to have gone; where then it was different...women weren't on there own feeling judged, they were supported better by their peers. And friends didn't seem so hard to make, because of the community spirit, it was just part of life; where in today's world everyone is sooo busy trying desperately to get everything done, that by the time the think about it they don't know how to make friends.
Men are discriminated...my partner wanted to be a stay-at-home Dad for part of the kids lives. And while he could do that, when he looked into it, there was a huge stigma attached, and NO support at all. Getting time off work when babies are born, was something that he found difficult to do.
I guess I am trying to say, that while people define roles of men and women there will always be a divid in equality...it is when people stop stereotyping, and say we are all human beings that that kind of equality can develop. It is all about how we interpret our surroundings and situations.

If you mean on all fronts, that's unlikely.
Biological, men and women are not the same, much less equal.
For the same reason, there are things that one gender would excel at over the other. Which is the reason why social hierarchical structural norms are as what we can see.
However, that is a trend that is changing, as more women start to establish themselves in the upper echelons of society.
In terms of social status and opportunities, if all women can prove themselves, and live with the downsides of being a equal, I'm sure it'll all be possible.
However as I have pointed out, because of biological reasons, there are still limitations to what they can or cannot do. That is something i feel everyone has to acknowledge.

Men are by far the "superior" gender in terms of sociopolitical and corporate collaberation. Its a shame!!
There should never be an ABSOLUTE EQUAL in gender relations. Im just of the opinion that If women manage to empower themselves into greater religious and political positions then the enitire world would be better off.
Love, compassion and the effort to undertsand what exactly is going on would be increased. War would be over crap like beauty and fashion and we would refuse to die for it, only women want to fight that war!!
Women are also the ultimate creationists, I think women should run the social/political systems.

There are NO absolute in life.
Why would women want to be equal with men?
In ways we are better.
We need the day when people arn't judged by their gender or color but by their abilities to get a job done, and there will be same pay no matter what the gender or color.

No not equal exactly. More balanced. I look at men and women fitting together like a puzzle or the yin/yang. We are very different and should celebrate that, but we also need to work together. No one side could survive without the other.

No, men will never be equal to women. Women are now and always have been far better than us men! THEY would not want to be made equal. "Equality is very seldom popular among those being equalized DOWNWARDS," like women would be if we all became equal.

No,women are the cradle of humanities existence while men are the preservers. We are chemically, physically, emotionally, built and conditioned differently and until we recognize and accept these differences between the two sexes and respect them within ourselves and in each other;how can we ever be equal?

They are only as equal as we think they are. In reality we are all equal, we separate ourselves. We try to define everything in order to understand/return to a world that is undefined. We are individuals united because we are individuals. Nature didn't divide us, we did. If you want to make the sexes equal, believe they are and live by it. People will follow your example.

No, they will never be absolutely equal because of pure physical differences. Men will always be more muscular and women will always be able to give birth and feed their babies.
