option b. if you have a degree, usually you are at advantage over others. you are more educated, and better trained.
you WILL make more money:

Average Annual Income by Educational Attainment,
U.S. Census Bureau 2000
No high school diploma: $14,349
High school diploma: $23,233
Associate degree: $31,684
Bachelor’s degree: $45,648
Master’s degree: $56,958

having a degree does not guarantee you will make money, but it truly helps, especially since the world is becoming more competitive. employers pay more to people with degrees.

go to college, you will not regret it.
if you don't, you might not regret it, but there is a very big chance you will.

Go to school full time and work part time. Obviously you will be more broke than if you were to work full time-- but in the long run, the sooner you get finished with school, the sooner you can pay off all those bills and start your life as an adult. It might seem better to start working now but seriously you will regret it in the long run (unless you get lucky and end up rich somehow). My brother is 25 now and just started college after years of working at a pharmacy. He realizes that he needs to get a degree to get paid more as a pharmacist. He said that it's better to go to school as soon as possible, or else if you work for awhile and try to go back to school, it will be hard. What if your work is too time consuming that you wont be able to finish school? Then you'll be stuck trying to finish school forever.

You have to decide what your priorities are. If I were you, I would go to school full time and work part time. It will be easier to focus and do well in school if you go to school full time. Click on this link for more information.

Split it 50-50. With a good student loan you won't have to start paying until after graduation. This way you have real world experience, some money and an education.
