I have a friend and she got into an argument w/her boyfriend.. she slaps him like 3 times and he did nothing. I would have slapped her back is that wrong of me to think when a woman slaps a man, she should be able to take what she dishes out.

It is not ok for anyone to slap anyone, but unfortunately, the media always shows women hitting men and getting away with it. Also, if a man slaps a woman it packs a bigger walup (Most men being stronger than women) so would be harder to take.
Your friend needs to get some anger management help. What she did is called domestic violence. If her boyfriend calls the police she will be arrested (at least in Washington State).

Now a days if a woman slaps a man, he can file charges against her. So if you ever find yourself in a situation where a woman hits you and you want to hit her back, try to resist, and just press charges instead. I agree with you, in that there is a double standard. There are women shelters everywhere, but I know men get hit just as much as women do, if not sometimes more, and you can't find a men's shelter.

its just tradition. If men were more traditionally submissive than it would be okay, but since the man is the "protector" its not okay. Its a societal thing. However, I dont feel that its okay. No one man or woman should be hitting anyone. We are not 3 yrs old here people. Preschool is over. Stop slapping eachother goddammit!
Men would also not call the police. Imagine it "Help my 140lb wife is beating me!" they would most likely just laugh. Like i said, its societal. Men wouldnt want to come off as a p.u.s..s.y

No, I think you're right in your opinion thats why women should not hit men unless they're ready to fight them like a man. Slapping a man is one of the lowest forms of disrespect there is. Think about it ...would you be more offended getting punched or slapped by another woman????

its just as wrong for a woman to hit a man as it is the other way around. the only reason men get in more trouble is because they r physically stronger. so yeah. no ur not wrong for wanting to hit her back but if ur grown and mature then ya'll wont b hittin each other anywayz.

She is taking a big chance most men will only take so much before he leaves or hits back. I don't condone it but you do get what you give, that's why I believe keep your hands to your self

According to traditon, a gentleman never hits a lady and a lady never hits a gentleman unless of course he deserved it. For example, he tries to kiss her or says something rude like the scenes in old movies. Anything else is abusive and unacceptable.
