one of my friends told me that she got pregnant from having an ear infection and her doc. didnt know that she was on the shot and got pregnant from her taking the anti-biotics. Is this ture? Will anti-biotics help women on the shot get pregnant sooner then a year or so?

Antibiotics will not decrease the effectiveness of the Depo-Provera to prevent an unintended pregnancy. Since the Depo-Provera shot bypasses the absorption phase in the gastrointestinal tract required by oral contraceptives, antibiotics will not interfere with the effectiveness of the Depo shot.

Talk to your docto, I do know that anti biotcs lessen the potency of the birth control pill. So does vitamin C.
