Shouldn't people want to vote based upon candidates standings on issues more then what party they are associated with? Is it just me? is anyone else sick of party bashing, I really dislike this whole republicans suck/democrats suck thing. Is anyone else annoyed by negative political ads? Does it seem like this "feud" would only seperate americans rather then unite them? Arent we all human? Does anyone else feel the same way as I do? Sorry wanted to vent.

Aren't something like 38% of Americans self-proclaimed independents who just align themselves with whatever party they agree with the most come election time? So to answer your question, no, I do not think you are the only one unhappy with our wide open field of two party choices.

I am sure this bashing has been going on for years. It appears to go to a further level each election. Difficult it is to choose the right candidate for the positions open. I feel the American people are going to be backed into a corner one day with all this bashing and end up not voting. Debates were fine in past and held only some bashing but in todays world there are no debates, just commercials with bashing in them. No wonder people are confused.

Good vent and I am sure there are more people than you could imagine who feel the same way. I would much rather hear what you want to do instead of what you think the other person may have done in their past. Tell me where they stand on issues and let me decide. Enough with the mud slinging.

But what are the issues? Most candidates spend their time telling me that Candidate "A" is a nortorious bug squisher, while Candidate "B" is a slimy-sided, silt-eating toad with the mental agility of a small soap dish.

Uh, what about taxation?

Candidate "A" tried to get a 14-year old girl interested in philately!

Candidate "B" has a sister who is a practicing thesbian!

Uh...the deficit?

Candidate "A"'s wife died of a degenerative disease!

Candidate "B" urged his Protestant friends to have more catholic tastes!

Pul-leeze! Enough!

To all of your questions, the answer is yes! People don't know who to vote for or who is good because candidates are always bashing each other.

I agree with you totally. It is sickening. Get over it people. I don't alway agree with what a republican says, I don't alway agree with what a democrat says. Vote on the issues not the party.
