Couldn't we just feed the homeless to the hungry?

NO, and let me tell you why. They should be SOLD, for very reasonable prices, mind you, to the impoverished peoples of the world, thus teaching them the value of money and hard work while you're at it. I am sure the UN would be delighted with the idea, and the people with UNICEF would be glad to be of assistance for once in their lives. The very poor and homeless in the countries that matter should be shipped over -already freeze dried, as common courtesy dictates- to the countries that don't really matter quite as much, (come on everyone, you know what I am talking about here....) where they could nourish whole families for an indefinite period of time, if done properly. Given the success this method you propose would have, I suggest that in order to keep the food coming the same should be done with the comatose and the terminally ill, especially kids; they shouldn't have to suffer like that if they could be helping other kids fill their empty stomachs.

Well, an interesting idea! But in the real world, we must realize that there can NEVER be enough food to feed all the people of the world. If that were the case, the population of the world would increase to the point where food would run out, and people would be hungry again! There can never be enough food to feed all of the people of the world. There can never be enough medicine to cure all of the sick people of the world. There can never be enough books to teach all people to read.
Food, medicine, and books are valuable to us strictly because they are scarce. The entire world is built on having "haves and have nots." Sad, but true. Who set it up that way? God? Who else?

There is a little confusion in your question. The hungry are homeless also so how do you feed homeless to the hungry?

Eat or be eaten..the lowest common denominator..works for some..cannabilism I find hard to swallow..How about we wage war by food fights only? Imagine attacking with planeloads of "Big Macs" or cannons that fire giant rice balls? The countries that have the most excess food are only allowed to conquer with the produce they have. Like back off or we'll nuke all those frozen pizzas..
