I have seen this on two different model years, mine a 2000, and my Dad's a 1999.

i own a repair shop,and they have a bad ground on them in the back of the dash area that causes this to happen,i have repaired a few of them in the past year or so,its not a hard repair the ground block is located on the bottom of the steering column and id bet that's whats wrong with yours also,if you,ll look around under there you,ll see the ground wires im talking about this is what causes all the problems with the fords,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

I would try changing the dimmer switch for the dash lights .If it is just at the odometer area then it may be a bad printed circuit or poor connections at the bulb to the board (sockets may need contact area cleaned at board).

Probably a short in the guage cluster. Take it to the dealer if its still under warranty

Check the fuse and the light bulb in your odometer. You might also check your battery.
