someone who is there for you through thick and thin; doesn't treat you as an enemy when things get tough; doesn't betray you by turning on you and using things you've told then against you; someone who believes in you. True friends are rare and hard to find. You'd be lucky to find 1 or 2 in your lifetime.

Friendship consists of honesty, loyalty and true acceptance of the other individual and getting the same in return.
I have friendships from childhood that have withstood the sands of time, so to speak. We all went to different colleges, got married, moved away, came back, moved some more and the friendships continue as if no time has passed at all. We love each other just as much and sometimes more, than family members. We practice these principles and do not betray them EVER.
There is no greater gift than friendship.

True friendship are backstabbers and they are there to talk to whenever you need them and don't need them. they are there for you to tell the truth too such as OMG your pants don't match you go change and don't call me in a middle of a conversation. Thats a true friend who is truely honest. Friendship is for anybody even if they talk a lot of crap about them a least they don't go into each others personal business then its all good.

One who won't always necessarily be by your side but will be willing to accept every trouble you give. A true friendship is when you really think it is.

A true friend will be able to joke around with you on any matter whatsoever.
A true friend would never allow you to go into something difficult without backing you up.
A true friend would be able to handle you telling them there flaws.
A true friend would never abandon you.

Someone that loves you for who you are and not being someone else different being you of course. A person that cares about you has your back no matter what and is always true to you.

a true friend is someone you can talk to. someone that listens to you even if they don't understand. someone who helps before you ask. someone to laugh with (actually this is very important). someone who sets it aside it when you do something embarrassing or stupid. someone who will let you tell your troubles to. someone that won't want to cuss you out when you're in a bad mood. someone that keeps you in order, but knows how to be fun! someone to be there through thick and thin... not someone that will forget you.

someone that when you cry they're right by your side. someone when you laugh, most times their the one who made you laugh. someone that will be honest with you even if it hurts ya a little. someone who'll care when no one else will.there's so many more, but it all comes down to someone who'll love and appreciate all aspects of your true personality no matter what
