NO. If you looked at Santorums's voting record or what he said it was clear that he did not appeal to most Pennsylvanians so the trend was clear.

He was way ahead and they do exit polls to find out how people voted. Santorum was not popular.

It's projections, and they can do that by how much ahead they are compared to the percentage of precincts reporting
