LOLOLOL! Great question! XO

The majority of my husbands family project imagined PROBLEMS long before ANY event.
This causes angst and mistrust LOOONG
before
the meal will be on the table....
Therefore predicting a ruined dinner or event becomes a self fulfilling prophesy!

Fortunately, I have a family that never complains about our Thanksgiving Dinner. We enjoy the time that we have together and praise God for the many blessings that we have.

My sister is like that. She complains that she's still sick of turkey from last year. We just tell her to help herself to extra stuffing and sweet potatoes...Sorry, don't know how to help you with someone who dislikes the whole meal. Order a mini pizza for them? Remind them that this is about family and being together, not the food.

i will leave the house at the first sign of family argueing with each other.

and on the years that it is at my house they know that i will kick them all right the hell out.

i limit my time with my family because we do not all get along well. but i figure that for a few days a year we should be able to gather without sensless bickering.

Suggest that everyone make their own favorite dish, then there will be one thing there that they wont gripe about. Take a vote on who makes the best turkey, gravy, stuffing, ect...and go with it...might help
