I dislocated my shoulder a couple of weeks ago, and my arm's been in an immobilizer since then. Because my arm has been at my side basically 24-7, my forearm's numb. My mom, who's a nurse, thinks I might have pinched a nerve. What can I do about this?

i feel that a pinched muscle might be felt in just one spot. I have a pinched nerve in my cut back again, and that i believe it the entire method right down to my left ankle and right down to my correct knee. if the soreness appears to be touring right down to different components or the frame i might say the nerve is pinched. ibprofen is an anti-inflamatory that reduces the infection within the subject of the pinched nerve, however it's going to most effective do such a lot. i need to take round 800mg of ibprofen to even believe love it's any larger, whilst it is performing up. well success, i'm hoping i used to be of a few support.

I also have a pinched nerve in my neck, that causes my right arm to go numb. I went to a chiropractor, and he did some adjustments, but I still have the pain and numbness, so I went to a neurosurgeon, and he has sent me to physical therapy, it doesn't seem to be helping yet, he also has set me up with pain management to see if they can help. He ask me if I wanted to have surgery, but I'm not quite ready for that step yet. so I guess I will try everything else before I submit to surgery. Good luck .

See a Chiropractor. He can fix it on 2-3 visits of about $100. Muscles, tendons or bones are pinching it and they need to be put back in alignment. You can use cold packs for the pain.
Good Luck

You need to make an appointment with a neurologist. They can do special test involving pin pricking, and reflex reactions; to determine how severely damaged or not damaged the nerve is.
