If you really feel compelled to poke around the mummified remains of ancient operating systems, skip the rotting zombie known as Windows Me. It's the buggiest and least stable of the Windows 9x series. Windows 98 SE (second edition) is the best of that bunch, but even the original Win98 is less crash-prone than WinMe.
Of course anything prior to Win2000 is unsupported and can't run many current programs, so I'd recommend XP if your hardware meets the minimum spec. If your machine is a Pentium II 500Mhz or faster with at least 256mb of RAM, go with XP.

No! Windows ME (Millenium Edition) was a rushed-out version of an operating system that was supposed to be similar to Windows 2000. If you don't know, Windows 2000 was the basis for Windows XP.
Short answer: Windows XP is a million times better than ME :)

Windows ME is perhaps the worst operating system that Microsoft ever made!!! That is the reason that it was only out for a year or two. Use Windows XP!!!

No,Window Xp better.Window Me's graphic and function are worst that Window Xp.I support WINDOW XP.......But maybe Window Vista better....

I had WinMe for several years and got good service from it. I upgraded to WinXP and it is so much better.
Regardless of which is "best", WinME is no longer supported by Microsoft and no updates are available. Security then becomes an issue. If you have a choice get WinXP with SP 2.

windowsME was found to be very unstable and you can know longer get auto up-dates. It si best to go with windows xp or 2000.Good Luck

Is a horse and buggy better than a Masserati? Seriously, ME is so old that many application won't run under it any more. Sooner or later, you will have to upgrade to XP.

No. I'm sorry, but Windows ME was THE worst operating system Microsoft came out with. It was so buggy, and so easy to hack. You don't want that do you?

win me is ok . & so is win xp but to have upto date win . os it is best to go to win xp . b/c microsoft are cutting support on old windows . os win xp is fast if you have a lot of pc ram & and good hard drive & a fast pross chip on pc so is me if ur hardware is good & fast
