If I was you I would be heading East, is much better than the West, States like Florida, Virginia, New Jersey or New York, less expensive and much more opportunities..☺

I lived in Seattle, WA for 10 years and moved to the south. I miss it a whole lot! You can find night life, snow, beaches, hiking, movies, fairs, wildlife, a good zoo, good schools, artsy stuff, Pike Place Market is so cool...good sports, great places to travel to near by...BUT the sun is a bummer there. Sometimes the sun does not come out for days...when it does show up...it is like heaven on earth...

It is very expensive! even apartments are 6-800 for not the best locale. So you better have skills/job/money! We moved to Georgia. Cost of living is so much better...sun is great, storms incredible, good-low cost housing, can be a crazy religiously fanatical environment but you learn to cope...if you really want the west coast and a city...take a look at Portland, OR too or the coast area there.

Seattle is a great city, but wicked-expensive. Its one of the best places to live.

What are you looking for? Nightlife? Arts? Education? Are you the outdoorsy type? Do you like family-friendly?

It would be easier to pick if we knew your criteria.

I have been in Seattle for 2 years and I absolutely love it. There is lots to do here, I would say it has a lot to offer just about everyone. One great plus is there is a lot of diversity.

Go to http://www.findyourspot.com
It'll take you through a survey and give you a list of the cities that best match what you are looking for with regard to cost of living, climate, education, culture, etc.

Good luck to you!
PS - Seattle is an amazing city, but pricey!

Um, I moved here from the East coast. The people suck but the area is gorgeous and lively. So it's a toss-up!
