He was convicted of killing 148 people in a small Iraqi village; I have no doubt he killed many more, or was responsible for the deaths of many more.
On the other hand, George W. Bush has been responsible for the deaths of 655,000 Iraqis and almost 3,000 U.S. soldiers (not to mention the tens of thousands he's allowed to be maimed for live, permanently disabled, and grotesquely injured). He's condoned torture of 'detainees' in complete disregard for the rules of the Geneva Convention. His Secretary of Defense actually responded to a question about the 'collateral damage' and deaths of innocent people during wartime by saying smugly, "Stuff Happens." It's obvious that the Bush administration places no more value on the sanctity of human life than did Saddam Hussein. So why shouldn't Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and ALL 535 members of the most contemptible, incompetent, inhumane, arrogant, cowardly, greedy, corrupt Congress in U.S. history also be tried in an international tribunal for crimes against humanity and - if convicted - also be hanged right alongside Hussein??? -RKO-

Hard to imagine a person more deserving of the death penalty. The consequences for the UK and the USA are hardly the proper concern for the court: Justice for Iraqis is.

Only if his accomplices suffer the same fate. When he was committing his crimes western governments including France, West Germany, Britain and the USA were supporting him, selling him weapons and materials to make his chemical weapons because he had attacked Iran.
So people like Rumsfeld and Thatcher should swing alongside him.

No, I think he should stay in jail, be fed only McDonalds, have a television set with re-runs of Friends playing over and over, and Barry Manilow music piped into his cell at all hours of the day and night......If that doesn't kill him, then he can be executed.....

Murder shouldn't be tolerated at any level.
He needs the punishment available in a Super Prison. Problem with prisons today is that they become hangouts for the lowlife of society instead of a place of punishment. But never the less, murdering him is not right.

surprising question!! i in my opinion desire the dying penalty for distinctive murderers, toddler killers and tyrants like Saddam. even with the undeniable fact that, if the dying penalty weren't an option in his case, a extraordinary punishment could have been to maintain him in a cage interior the midst of Baghdad, Iraq, with in basic terms sufficient nutrition and water to proceed to exist. Then the human beings he terrorized and tortured ought to do what they needed with him; a super variety of issues.

now lets see? will he be suffering?? is that in comparison with the 8,000 kurds in northern Iraq who he gassed and they dies within 2 hours, or perhaps in comparison with the people who languished in the prisons and were tortured by his guards at his order, maybe he shouldn't hang, maybe they should just gather any relatives of his victims still living, give them very sharp knives, and then see if he knows what suffering is? what do you think.................?

Heck ya he should, for all the pain and suffering he has caused over his time as a tyrant!
But, sadly I feel those whom are still loyal to him will cause mass destruction and injure/kill many innocent people. And I do pray that our men and women serving over there are kept safe. And not targeted.(more so than normal) in retaliation

This question was asked earlier man. Anyway, there's nothing good in killing anyone. Technically, Bush, by sending troops to Irak, have created more casualties and left the country in a state of chaos. Should he be put to death penalty as well ?
