No, because everyone has a different train of thought, and what you say on Answers can be taken in ungodly number of ways. Some people are going to like your answers, whereas some are going to hate your answers. I think the problem starts when people can't keep their nasty opinions to themselves. Yes everyone is entitled to their own opinions, which is fine and dandy but if I don't have something nice to say about someone or something I have the respect to keep it to myself instead of causing unnecessary drama on here.

Actually yes - some people believe that a difference of opinion merits hatred. The problem with debating is that people often get so caught up in trying to "win" and justify why their opinion is more valid, than actually looking at the issue as a concept that is SEPARATE from the two people involved.
If it was possible for all of us to just separate ourselves from issues and discuss them objectively, then it would be about two sides of an argument fighting, instead of two people.
I like this question. Thank-you for stimulating my brain!

NO! a difference in opinion is what keeps people on their toes at work, politics, home, church. If we all thought the same, what a boring and stupid world we would live in. Sometimes you can learn by listening to a different opinion, sometimes you know what you think is right. And then they are the times that different opinions meet in the middle and a great idea that affects everyone comes to light. God bless the open mind. Nothing merits hatred. Look at Islam radicals for example, if we don't believe their Jihad, then we are wrong period.

In most cases, yes.
A difference of opinion does merit hatred.
I actually don't think it's intentional though. I think it's ingrained within ourselves to naturally dislike that which does not coincide with the deep affiliations we have. We expect the world to be similar to ourselves and when we find out is isn't, it's a huge shock.
Some people learn to accept differences and move on. Others don't.

Nothing merits hatred. If someone decides to hate me because I don't share their opinion, I don't have time to worry about that or them. Life's too short to get hung up over the trivial disagreements that people place so much emphasis upon.

You are quite right. If more people were open minded ,
we could all learn quite a bit and many lives would be enriched. Their loss.
