If she is happy and healthy and nothing else is off then chances are she is just not ready. My son did a belly flop thing across the floor and never did crawl instead he was walking at 10 months then actually crawled on all fours about 3 months later. A lot of babies don't like being on the floor instead they want to be upright as they feel they can see more and have more freedom. If it is an issue that bothers you then I would talk to the pediatrician and see what they think but chances are she is just going to do it on her own time schedule. You could also set things just out of her reach on the floor that she really likes and see if she will get to them, but honestly if she is like mine was it will only make her madder.

Babies do move at their own pace, but try helping her get on her hands and knees, then kinda help her move on her hands and knees. Maybe you should let her be frustrated a little longer, remember if you anticipate their every need they will never have to ask or do for themselves.. Oh and try putting something she loves or really wants in front of her leave her on her stomach and show/help her how to crawl and get it. But dont stress over this, if her not crawling was a problem her doctor would tell you. My suggestions were purely from my own experiences with my own kids. Enjoy your baby and enjoy being a Mommy

Not at all. All babies develop at their own rate, and many babies NEVER crawl at all. I know an 8 month old who just starting rolling over.
If she wants to move try letting her push off of your hands. That way she is encouraged to move without getting so flustered.
As far as tummy time goes my son hated it too. Finally I started putting a mirror on the floor so he had someone to look at and he LOVED "the baby in the mirror". You could also try a rolled up towel as a bolster so she has a little support.
Good Luck!

sure, that is totally well-known that your son isn't crawling yet. some little ones crawl at 7 months and some later. some little ones by no potential crawl on their palms and knees yet purely roll or slide alongside on their bellies. My eldest daughter did not crawl until eventually she replaced into 10 months yet she replaced into walking by three hundred and sixty 5 days.

Sounds to me as if she is going to "by pass" crawling and go straight to walking, my daughter never crawled...scooted backwards a couple of days but that was it. She prefered to be standing and started taking her first steps at 8 1/2 months. I didn't worry a bit.

Get her motor skills and mental functions checked by a doctor just to make sure that's all good. Probably is. Some babies will graduate to walking without doing much of the crawling thing.

every child is different, be patient. she will get the hang of it when she is ready. some children don't crawl at all, they just get up and walk. if you are worried about her you can also try showing her how to crawl. my daughter didn't crawl till she was 10 months old and it took my son to show her how to do it. I would lift her belly off the ground and he would move her legs and hands. it did help her, hopefully it will help your little one

Sounds like she is right on the verge to me. Some babies take longer than others. You should ask your doctor when you take her in for her check-up. But sounds normal to me. Don't rush this, when she can walk, you will get the exercise you have not gotten in a while. That freedom they get when they start crawling is like an addition to them. They don't stop and nor do you until they are exhausted.

I would NOT worry whatsoever! My aunt had her baby about a year ago and i was there almost everyday with her since the day she was born and she didn;t start crawling until she was almost 11 months, but she is not behind in any way! Just remember, babies take their own time with doing things, she will get it :)

Don't worry, she will crawl when she's ready. My first didn't crawl till 11 months, and my third didn't crawl till 14 months (she did a butt-scoot thing).
