I am considering taking birth control. I was wondering what are some of the physical side effects of birth control? For example, does it cause weight gain or loss? Does it cause mood swings? Pimples? Any information would be really helpful. If it helps I'm considering the Nuvo Ring.

Personally, I loved the side effects I had from the pill - shorter periods, lighter flow, cramps that were practically nothing, larger breasts. But that was for me, and everyone's different. One potentially bad side effect - reduced sex drive (they never tell you about that one but it is possible).
