Depending on when you had sex in your cycle-it may not matter. If you had sex a day or two before ovulation then you can take a home pregnancy test, even an early one about two weeks. Blood tests about ten days. Ovulation is when you get pregnant and that happens ABOUT two weeks before your period. It takes the fertilized egg a week to travel to the uterus and implant after fertilization and another few days to start producing hcg (the pregnancy hormone that is used in pregnancy tests). It doesn't show up in the urine until about when you would expect your period. Wait unitl then to test unless you can get blood done by your doctor.

You can test 19 days from the day you think you became pregnant or go and have a blood test done and that will show you are pregnant 7 days after conception.
Good luck

Most tests will show a result on the day that you expect your next period to show. Some will give results a few days earlier than that but they're more expensive.

You can test up to five days prior to your next period, although most of them only claim to be about 86% accurate at that stage.
