I just joined an intership. This is their first year of hiring an intern and they are kind of unorganized in training. I spend 2 days there. The folks showed me some general data entry stuff but they don't do a good job of explaining what they're doing. They expect me to know everything about what to do and how thier company does stuff. They aren't even that friendly. I feel like they are bothered by having to train someone. I don't even feel like going on in this but its good for my career i guess. I really don't feel like going tomorrow and I don't want to hate this job...i'd become desparate if i do. Does anyone have any advice for me? Maybe someone who hires interns and traines them? help!!

Luckily an internship is not forever and eventually it will be over. The people who are supposed to be training you may have a problem with having you around, because they see you as someone who is only temporary, and they feel "why should they spend all that time training someone who is only going to leave" I say, take each day with a grain of salt, and hopefully you will gain some experience, and also be happy knowing that you are moving on. Good Luck :-)

ask all the questions you want to know, if you don't ask they won't know how to help you. do not give up, it's a very good opportunity for you, if they see you are eager to want to learn, they will hire you. that's what an intern is, you are there to be trained. sometimes people don't want to train you because they fear you will take there position. if you don't show up the following days, you will show lack of interest.lack of commitment to fill the positon at hand. if these are the owners or the director of the company... they just want to put pressure on you to see if you are a quiter.they will test you to know if you are there right match. right match means they have identified individuals capable of performing the immediate challenges. more importantly, they hope the individual have the potential to be future resources & assets to the firm. u must determine whether u can be successful in the available position & whether the company will give u the opportunity for growth & development. always, present yourself in the best possible light. however, be yourself, everyone has the same goal- the "right match." good luck, let me ask you this ? how bad do you want it? well than go for it. god bless you !

Just smile alot & give them lots of compliments about how smart they are & how you wish you could have all that knowledge. Bringing in a box of small pastries to share doesnt hurt .

Please hang in there. Most jobs seem a little overwelming in the beginning. It will be good experience for you. Give it at least a month. What is the worst that could happen?
