Ive noticed lately that old people must love to jaywalk on a red light. Do they care that a 2500 pound car has a high possibility of turning them into confetti? Do they think they can out-scoot the by crossing a 4 lane street? And I know signals have been around since 1868 (look it up if you dont believe me), so why would they believe red means go? I guess alzheimers CAN really kill you.

I tend to notice that old folks ALWAYS think that they have the right away with EVERYTHING! They are never wrong!

The question should have been why do people jay walk young and old to get to the other side, within the shortest time possible. we are lazy., Why walk all the way to the corner to cross in the crosswalk, when i can cross in the middle of the block,

I think it's probably because they don't care anymore. They think that young people today should respect their elders. Even if this means that you have to stop on a green light to let them cross the road.

They probably jay walk because it's too tiring for them to walk the extra distance to the crosswalk when where they want to go is directly across from them.

By the time you're old, waiting around at a light just seems stupid.
