Yes it does, there are quite a few teenagers that make me hopeful for the future with the way they conduct themselves and with their understanding of the world around them :)

Many of the youth today are very disrespectful and have poor manners. A lot has to do with the fact that both parents work and there is no one to supervise them. Those that go to private schools are taught manners and have rules to follow or they are kicked out. Parents that care will spend time with their children and teach them to be respectful to others. It amazes me on how many times I see the children bossing their parents and telling them what to do.

I am proud to say i was tested by request of my teacher for an official government IQ exam with a government tester. I have an IQ of 152 and I am just so proud of that! Now if only i could fly! LOL
P.S.
I was tested in the third grade and again in eighth and received the same results both times! I am now in ninth!

Yes! Some of the things that kids do today I never would have tried or gotten away with. I knew better than to try and run the house, talk back to my parents or to disrespect them in any way. Parents need to take control of there kids and show them who is boss. I would not let my kid(s) get away with half of the stuff that parents let them get away with.

Under 20? They are generally rude and abnoxious. Over 20-25 they are growing out of that rudeness but will they think they know it all.

No, not at all. What amazes me is the alarming number who need remedial English and math when they enter college. And it's not their fault. Our educational system now ranks around 27th in the world. I find that very distressing. Major corporations in this country are now looking to foreign students to fill vacancies in technological fields.

Their total disrespect of adults astounds me! Not all of them but a lot.
I would have gotten my *ss kicked for saying less than what I've heard some of these kids say to adults.

Yes. They expect immediate praise and success without EARNING respect first or putting in effort.
They think people OWE them a sense of self-esteem, but are not prepared to DO anything to help themselves.
