how do i recover my windows xp?

my windows want come up after i boot the computer up .it says do to a new hardware or soft ware.what should i do, can i go buy a windows xp disc and reboot from there or just take it to a shop to get it service

i see you have no win xp cd. ok restart pc keep hitting on (F8) key to ur come to safemode menu then hit on safemode . hit on enter2 times . wait for it to come to user account screen hit on (ADMIN) then go to desktop. hit on ok to tda. safemode box that comes up
then go to
start>all programs> accessories .>system tools>system restore
hit on next . then go back a day or 2 befor ur pc was crash . you hit on a date then hit next. then wait for pc to restore back to that point then pc will have to be restart again . then login to ur user account
