Like that you don't like her or that she has no power or something of that nature.

There are no more laws protecting her than anyone else. It is still technically illegal to call for the abolition of the monarchy, but nobody has been prosecuted under this law. There are also laws against blasphemy but they have not been used successfully for many, many years.

Lol. Americans mock Bush like hell (and now for some strange reason are frustrated that the "demons" have won--after voting for these "demons")

Americans have freedom of speech basically. Well, Britain does too. I'm not British, and as an outsider I'd say that Britain is in many ways a lot more liberal than America.

As such, yeah. The British are free to speak their mind about the royal family, Tony Blair and whatever else they wish. So long as they don't go overboard of course....

Yes, you can, but if you say anything too bad to the queen you can get into prison. So I wouldn't say anything too bad to the queen. Anyways how could you even get to the queen with all of her guards and security?

Why would you want to? Does anyone else have a Grannie still working at 80 years old? Princess Diana was not Royal she just married into the Royal Family.

This is the year 2006 - freedom of speech - the royals are an antiquated, out dated mode of political protocol that is becoming extinct. I cannot believe that we still live in a society that requires that we curtsy and bow to another human being. I thought Slavery ended. I thought we were call created equal - everything Princess Diana tried to instill in humanity needs to be reflected on. She taught us Royals are in fact human. Respect is something that is earned because of integrity- not titles that descend into ancient times.

We live in a democrarcy and actually enjoy the freedom of speech denied to so many others...

We may not agree with what a person is saying, but will defend their right to be able to say it...

If you can't, I'd better not go there. Parliament runs the country. She is just a figurehead. If I got paid that much, I'd be one!
