Area = 5 square meters
Base = 2x
Area of any triangle = (Base*Height)/2
5 = (2x*Height)/2
5 = x*Height (The 2's cancel each other out)
x*Height = 5
Height = 5/x(Divide both sides by 'x')

I hope that helped

Area of the triangle = 1 /2 bh
where b = base and h = height
It is given area = 5 Sqmm and b = 2x
A = 1/2bh
5 = (1/2)(h) (2x)
5 = hx
5/x = h
therefore h=height in terms of x = 5/x

The area of a triangle is 1/2 the base times the height. So the height times 2x times 1/2 equals 5. You should be able to set that up and solve for the height by dividing by 2x and multiplying by 1/2 on both sides.

A=5=(1/2)bh=.5*2x*h
5=x*h
h=5/x

A(x) = x² + 5x + 6 (a.) A(5) = 25 + 25 + 6 = 56 (b.) (x + 3)(b)/2 = x² + 5x + 6 (x + 3)(b) = 2x² + 10x + 12 b = 2x + 4 meters

Area = bh/2 = (2X * h)/2 = 5, so solving for h -----> h = 5/X

h = height
area (A) = 5
base (b) = 2x

A = (1/2)h*b

5 = (1/2)h * 2x
5 = hx
[5/x] = h
so your height is 5/x
