I only remember Dan Rather breaking down on the Letterman Tonight Show but it was over 9/11. I doubt anything of the sort happened over Bush II. Bush I walked off the live set on him...mad as hell...I remember that. As tough and serious as he seems he is really an emotional man and why I suspect they put him out to pasture.
