I've been having some weird cramping for the last few days. I've noticed that the cramps come on whenever my heart rate suddenly increases. Does anyone know what this means? I'm about a week from my period. I can't tell if this is PMS or if perhaps I could be pregnant. Has anyone ever experienced this? Were you pregnant? If not, is it just normal menstrual symptoms?

I seem to get the cramps when I've reached the top of a flight of stairs, or if I get turned on....anytime a sudden increase in my heart rate occurs. These are definitely uterine cramps, not intestinal cramps.

Usually if you are a week from your period, you won't have any pregnancy symptoms yet due to the lack of pregnancy hormone in the body. This hormone usually takes about a week to build up in the system after implantation or about the time your period is due. Your heart rate increasing, is that a result of exercise? I don't know that the two would be related unless you might be getting these cramps as a result of some strenuous exercise. Are they menstrual type cramps or could they possibly be intestinal cramps? Do you have an IUD that could be getting jarred around? It is possible that you may have other issues such as fibroids or endometriosis. I have both and which are accompanied by severe cramps and bleeding during my period and the cramps occur often during other times of the month. You should take some time to see a gynecologist. Best of luck. BTW-Heating pads work great for my cramps.

I would try to analyze the situation first of all. Are the cramps low or high, are they centered more on one side than the other? What causes your heart rate to increase? Are you having normal BM's. It is a possibility that the cramps have nothing to do with your menstrual cycle, therefore, a check-up with your family doctor would be your wisest choice. Good Luck .

Go to the doctor and get a prego test. Because when I was prego I had cramps and I thought it was me just getting my period. But if you have concieved you can have cramps. I did and now I have 2 month old.

I have never heard of a heart reate incres with very early pregnancy. I would talk to your doctor, maybe it is a medicin you are taking, it could just be hormones off a little, but I really dont asociate heart raceing to be with early preganancy, only late stages. Sorry if i couldnt help, but best advice i can give ya is to see your doc.

It's more than likely menstrual cramps. If your period doesn't show up when it is due, then take a pregnancy test.
