on one side (the back?)theres the number 25 and under it PTAS CASTILLA (LA in very small letters)Mancha!can anyone tell me what kind of coin this is and how much it is worth

What you have is a 1996 dated 25 Pesetas coin from Spain. They only made that particular coin one year. Face value was about US 20 cents before Spain went to the Euro currency.

Espana is Spain and the coin I guess is a 25 pesetas coin (now we have euros, so those are not used anymore) very probably coined in the 90s (before, 25 pesetas coins were larger with no hole). If it is not gold, it is a much much older coin (more than 50 years old) and has a bigger value. Keep it in any case, since no Spanish coins with holes have been circulating for at least 5 years...

Espana is the spanish word for the country Spain.
Im guessing that the coin came from spain.

it's probably a coin from spain if it says Espana. But i don't know about the hole....wtvr.
