Actually, in the case of short marraiges where there are no children the courts now tend to disregard money earned or inherited by one spouse before the marriage took place - what is split is the assets that were built up during the marriage.
That is not the case here because they have a child, and their welfare must come first so different rules apply.

Having read some of the replies, i think people are being rather harsh here. Do any of you know Heather? No? Well then how can you judge. You dont know Paul either - just the face he chooses to show the world.
It is extremely unpleasant in my opinion that people's marriages should be dissected in places such as Yahoo Answers but of course everyone has a right to freedom of speech.
Even if Paul loses a lot of money, he can afford it. If he wants to make a bit more he could do a few personal appearances!
Think how horrible all this will be for their daughter, Beatrice, when she grows up and reads all the press.

I think everyone is forgetting that there is a child involved here!! Maybe she is all of the above but there is two sides to every story. Have you noticed that she has not denied or admitted anything. None of us know what they are like as a couple only what we are shown. Please try not to judge anybody in the case without all the facts.

She's a very clever woman.
He's worth about £750 million pound and she's going to take a huge chunk by just opening her leg for him.
As much as I detest Paul Mc Cartney, I still think it's been very underhand.
He got her a plane for christmas last year just so she could shave her leg.

Why would Paul being all he is, did marry her? Does not he know, he did not have to marry her and she'd still move in with him? what entitles this woman to ask for so much money?
I think a judge should put a limit to her, give her a house, child support and ask her to get a job!

Never mind her legs,(or the lack of--whatever the case may be...that has never really bothered me about her to be honest),look at her mouth,its a cruel mouth that one.And her eyes,cold,penetrating,calculating,all-seeing eyes-like fckin lizards eyes they are,looking for its next prey,the next morsal to gobble up-paul has his work cut out there with her so he has,he is in BIG trouble! I know she has a leg to stand one but I think it a little limp to use the nedia the way she has, it is well known she has a drink problem and has been seen falling around central London absolutely legless.
