Ok, I finished my period the saturday before last (10/28) and was supposed to put my nuva ring back in on sunday. I forgot until thursday. I had sex the friday, saturday and sunday during my period, and the friday and sunday after. Now I'm breaking out and my breasts are REALLY sore. Is this a side effect of putting in the ring late, or is there a possibility of pregnancy? I'm not gonna get too worried about it unless these symptoms continue for a little while longer. No, I haven't been queasy, but I never was with my daughter either. Any help would be appreciated, especially from fellow nuva ringers. Thanks!

I can answer this easy!!!!! The SAME thing happened to me. It was the hormones. For some reason when I didn't put the ring in when I was suppose to my whole body was affected. My breast were tender and my moods were HORRIFIC. My period also had more clots. Once I took it out at scheduled time and put another one in after 7 days, I was fine.

Does the Nuva Ring rock? I love it!!!

Hope this helps!

Pregnancy symptoms would not occur this early if u were indeed pregnant, the hormones wouldnt be released until the baby has fully implanted in the uterus which is days after having sex and concieving. It is probably all in your head or could be from the hormones of the nuva ring, I had similar symptoms when using the ring also.It is also rare to ovulate during or right after your period unless u have a very irregular cycle or a very very short cycle. I dont think u are pregnant..good luck!

I was on the Nuva Ring and I always started two days after I took the ring out. I started June 28, 2006 and put a ring in on the following Monday (July 3). My breasts started getting sore later in the month of July and I was just feeling funny(I was never sick with my daughter). I thought I was getting ready to start. NOT. I took out the ring and two days later still nothing. I took a test that Wednesday and sure enough I was pregnant. My morning sickness kicked in a few days later. For some reason Nuva Ring just didn't work for me. When I went to the OBGYN for my first prenatal visit they told me that they have had quite a few people come in this year that have gotten pregnant on the Nuva Ring. I just wish I had known that prior to choosing it as a form of birth control. Hopefully, you are luckier than I in your experience with it. I have chosen to get a IUD after this baby is born. Good luck!

It is not a usuall sign of the ring being put on late... it is usually a sign of early pregnancy, and with every birth control, it is possible to get pregnent, even when you miss your on time. Just wait a few weeks, take the test, and go from there. I personnaly perfer the patch over the ring, i always had some discomfort, and my periods were irregular with the ring, but with pill and patch they were regular. I dont know if that helps. Good luck... And little girls could always use another brother or sister. Hope all will go the way you wish.

I think it might have to do with something from the hormones. But I would take a pregnancy test to be sure!!!
