i have downloaded loads of game files but then i dont know how to open then from my download file and play them can anyone help me cos im a little stupid and new at this.

They would normally come in .Rar's
make sure all the rar files are in one folder and unpack the first rar and then it will unpack them all together, then it will probably have a .iso file or setup exe... if it has a .iso file then u should mount it with alcohol120% or daemon tools, i recommend daemon . http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=ViewCategory&catid=5 . but you have to be more specific with what kind of files so we can help out

Where have you dowloaded it? It all depends on what kind of program you're using. Is it free games from Yahoo, or is it games like: the sims 2 you've downloaded with Azureus, Itorrent or some program like that? If it's Azureus, they usually end up as image files, then you need a program like Alcohol or a free one like Deamon tools. You simply load the image file into one of those programs so the computer thinks that you've got the CD loaded into your computer. Then you should be able to play it, sometimes you need a hiding program to make sure that the computer thinks the CD's in.

you may purely burn .sio information to make the playable on a cd. in case you downloaded a .rar document then unpack it and observe if an .iso document is there if so then commence your burning software and burn image to dvd If there's no iso then im afraid you've gotten to position in the game from the unpakced information on your HDD

depending on your file types. You gotta specifically tell us what kind of file is it? Is it an application? .ISO file? .DMG file? .RAR file?
