A split boot kit costs 30 bucks and they are fairly simple to do yourself if you can jack the car up and safely secure it with jack stands. If not, just figure 100 bucks to have a mechanic put on a split boot. If they put on a factory style boot, it will cost much more as it requires complete disassembly. Good luck.

The whole CV shaft should be replaced. Depending on what kind of vehicle it is may change cost. Part cost around 80 bucks. labor Lets just say I'd do it for $75 so labor shouldn't be double that.

i own a repair shop,and it would have helped to know what kind of car you have the price is different on certain vehicles,but id say around 75- 100 bucks depending on which axle its on and who does it and how much trouble they have doing it,,good luck i hope this help,s.
