Odysseus met the Cyclops way way before he landed in Phaeacia (known also as Scheria). Phaeacia is the last destination of Odysseus before coming back home to Ithaca.
When Odysseus sailed from Ogygia, he came upon a storm and his raft was washed up on Scheria. He was found by Nausicaa, daughter of King Alcinous, and taken to the palace of King Alcinous. Alcinous offered to take Odysseus safely to Ithaca with one of his ships.

He met up with the Cyclops BEFORE he landed up at Phoenicia. He still had his original crew then but they perished after they slaughtered Apollo's lambs. Athena pitied Odysseus and allowed him to survive and he drifted on a piece of wood until he landed Phoenicia. He was seen by the princess (dunno her name), who then brought him to her father's court where he regaled the king with his stories
