All I know is that the rest of the keyboard is fine... I can't make any sort of copy of the screen.

I think I should add that I am not trying to get the screen to literally print, I just want it on the clipboard. I used to have no problem with this.

So, instead of pasting my print screen into paint shop pro, like I usually do, I pasted it into Word and it worked... so I'm now assuming that it has something to do with PSP, and I should be able to work this out. Thank you all! ^-^

I had similar problem with my laptop. I purchased some contact cleaner at Radio Shack and sprayed it on the key and worked it some then left it alone overnight. Next day the key worked fine.
Worked for me.

Funny....I've never been able to get a Print Screen button to work on any version of Windows.

Here's what I use.

Go to http://www.download.com and download and install a little free program called Gadwin Printscreen.

You may want to tweek the properties so it doesn't create a file every time you hit print screen. It works quite well and I've been very satisfied with it.

Hope this helps.

If it is a desktop, just replace the keyboard. They are cheap. It is not unusual for one key to go bad. Something got under that key that has blocked or damaged the contact.

unusual. that button should not be one which "lighting fixtures up" except that is a few variety of LED on your keyboard. which could get so obnoxiously demanding very instantly. besides, purely take the major off and cotton swab each and every thing down. perhaps it will sparkling something out of how.

Alternative solution
Use other screencapture software instead of print screen.
I recommend WinSnap

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
