I insist that it is not something you're born into - but results from a bad family dynamic. A withdrawn, aloof father who shows no affection, love, concern & closeness & bonding with his son will do this to him, as will a dominant , bossy, loud-mouth & demanding & assertive mother who "wears the pants" while the father sits meekly & looks on and farts his time away. when the boy doesn't bond with his dad & identify with him as a male role model - no doubt the boy will turn out to be a homo.
For lesbians, it happens with a nasty father, showing no love & respect for her - as well as a cold, detached, uncaring mother who doesn't bond with her daughter - but ostracizes the girl.
Problem is that all this happens AT A VERY TENDER AGE - and that's why people always suspect they're "born" that way or that the genes did it to them.
NO One - in their full sanity & rational mind, fully competent mentally - would ever CHOOOOOOOSE to be homo. It's not like on a certain morning a guy gets up from sleep & decides - "Well, I don't want girls, I want a guy to f-ck around with" No -that's not what happens.
what happens is that viscerally, from within, the guy starts to feel physical & emotional attraction & need for a man's intimate presence - rather than for a female. Parents bear the SOLE LIABILITY for a lesbian daughter or a gay son.
this has always been so - and is the undeniable truth !!!!!!!!!!!!

Being gay is something you are born with. It is difficult to compare it to race because race is something that is visible to everyone else and sexual attraction is something that can be hidden from others. Someone cannot hide from their race, but those who have a different sexual orientation can not only keep their orientation hidden but are often encouraged to do so. I have included a few sources that you may find of interest.

All these straight women in lesbian relationships that can't work because they really aren't gay tells me you are born that way or the influence is so subtle and at a young age that you might as well be born that way.

Sexual orientation is not a choice. You're born with it.
How many times a day do we answer this question here? LOL, I feel like a broken record sometimes, repeating the same answer over and over.

No, it's not a choice, for me at least.
When I was a little kid, I knew I was different, but I had no concept of what gay or heterosexual meant. It gradually dawned on me, beginning at about the age of ten. It took me a little while to fully understand. I don't know if it's genetic or not, but I don't think we choose to be heterosexual or homosexual.

we see this same question literally dozens of times a day. of course it's the same as being a certain race, or having certain hair/eye color, being short or tall, etc....it's genetic! we would "choose" to be someone that ignorant people persecute every day? you can't change who you innately are! hatred, however, is a learned behavior. and if those people would only open their tiny, closed minds to the truth, they might understand a little better and change their minds (maybe).

I was born bi. I don't like my orientation as much as I should and if I had the opportunity to become straight, I would take it.
