I am considering having cryotherapy done to remove mild cervical dysplasia. I'm just wondering if anyone who has had cryotherapy done had any problems giving birth afterwards? I heard it can affect the cervix ability to dilate properly, and honestly, I would really HATE having to have a c-section. I already have one son and the vaginal birth was wonderful, I just don't think a c-section is right for me and I really want to avoid having one. I want to hear from both sides though, women who haven't had trouble and women who have.

I have had several cryotherapies unfortunately. Started when I was a teenager and I'm now 40. I have a 5 month old daughter and did experience some delay in the dialation of my cervix due to scar tissue. I was effaced and we expected her a couple of weeks early so my doctor tried to manually dialate me to 1cm where I stayed. When my water broke I was fully effaced and still at 1cm. After a few hours of labor he started me on potosin and an epidural and once that kicked in we sailed right through. I started labor at 2am and had my daugher at 3pm-right on her due date. Take care of yourself first, if you need the procedure then get it.

I had cryotherapy done in April ? 1975
gave birth without ANY difficulty to a 9.9 oz baby boy Jan 1977
It caused mild cramping when the procedure was initally "thawing" out
No problems with pregnancy and or delivery afterwards

I did not have this done, but when my son was born by emergency c-section he was all the way down in the birth canal and when they pulled him out it had done damage to my cervix. I did not realize this and I had a different doctor when I got pregnant with my daughter and I ended up losing her at 21 weeks due to Incompetent Cervix. The doctors asked me if I had ever had this prodecure or a LEEP procedure done and I hadn't. If you have this done and you get pregnant afterwards your doctor needs to keep an eye on your cervix. You may require bed rest after a certain point in your pregnancy.

I continually looked as if it would get stuck at 2cm with my pregnancies. I had to be brought on both cases and easily after I were given the pitocin, then the water ruptured might want to I problematical artwork sufficient to do something. besides the undeniable fact that, for me it isn't until eventually after I ask for the epidural that issues kick into severe equipment and that i'm waiting to provide. i imagine that is because my body is having time to relax somewhat. i in my opinion informed my well-being care specialist even as i replaced into turning in my first born that i did not favor to push or something.. i replaced into so satisfied after the epidural that i needed a destroy. I informed him to go back decrease back later - please... The nurses complained, yet he reported each and every thing replaced into high-quality and he might want to provide me 20 minutes! It worked out completely and that i could not were happier with the birthing procedure or my well-being care specialist! So, in my opinion and adventure you do favor to relax - that is purely very problematical to do because that is one of those demanding and worrying time! that is conceivable that you and the toddler "purely are not waiting yet". that is going to take position in due time! Congrats and strong success!
