How does my tamagotchi evolve if it Just goes to sleep? HUH?

I used to have one of those. Your Tamagotchi will evolve every two days, I think it starts out as a blob really and you can't tell what it is going to be until day 5/6. By day 7 you can really tell much better what it is going to be. Think of it as a newborn that needs a lot of sleep, food and poo clean ups!

My daughters evolved when it was sleeping. It started off sleeping then woke-up for like 15 seconds to evolve and then went right back to sleep ! Weired !!!
