i own a repair shop, and no driving it low on fuel don't have anything to do with the transmission in it,the two have nothing in common ,if its going out you,ll feel it slip once in a while and it should make a whining noise once n a while also, and it may hesitate about going in gear also ,and wont shift right either ,and the fluid will start to turn a brownish look in it ,and it will smell burned, that's how you tell your having transmission problems good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

No, how many miles on the car? What kind of troubles are you having? Check the fluids. Good luck.
