i replaced my starter, alt, battaries, ignition switch, and solenoid on the fender.everything was fine for a week until tonight.its taken a long to turn over and you can hear the ignition switch click.could it be a bad solenoid from auto zone?that was the first thing i replaced before everything.at one point, the wires were on the wrong solenoid terminals for a while.

Sounds like you need a new starter - what year F250 we're talking about?

find a hammer and hit the solenoid hard but not to hard a few times and see if makes a difference. Just try it out Ive done about 100 times on all sorts of cars and usually does the trick.

Sounds like you smoked the coil in the solenoid. Take it back and tell them it's defective and try not to miswire it next time. Good luck.
