No... taxes are a legitimate way of sharing a common community expense across the public who use the services.

Excess taxes for frivilous programs are outragious and are close to stealing.

Feel lucky to be in America, most countries in Europe pay 2/3 of their paychecks for taxes and the common programs like free healthcare and pensions. Then again, after today, the democrats will be doing that to us too.

Income tax is not legal in anyway, shape, or form. The Federal Reserve, and the I.R.S. aren't even government agencies. All the services we receive come from sales and state taxes. All income tax goes to pay the interest on money we borrowed from The Federal Reserve, which is a private European bank. They print up the money for nothing . Thanks to Woodrow Wilson in 1913. Before that we printed are own money and it was backed by gold and silver.

Taxes are forced contributions from citizens who derives income from services offered and sale of goods. Taxes are burdensome because it is an imposition to raise revenues for the government to defray its operations. Technically, it is the most legal way of stealing from the people.

taxes are a legal way of paying for the roads you drive on, the police who keep you safe, the electricity it takes to light the traffic lights, the dams we build to keep floods out of your living room, air traffic controllers who keep planes from crashing into each other and out of the sky into your house, a vigilant military force to defend our interests in the world, universities and schools to educate you and your children, retirement and healthcare for your parents and others who can't afford it, and a host of other expensive installations and processes that our politicians debate the need of on a daily basis. Not to mention paying the interest on the money we borrow to build all that stuff. Costs a lot of money to run a country of 300 million people.

No - not at all ! It is the cost of the benefits /security /infrastructure provided by the State for your survival / existence and for making money. The more money you make - less would be the marginal value of the money for you, that is why Govt would be taxing @ high rate for higher brackets of income.

No, you're right - who needs to pay for gov't services, they're useless...

I mean, you've got a total handle on the situation, it's not like we need the gov't for national defense, public health, scientific research, law enforcement, foreign policy, banking regulation, (pause for breath) environmental conservation, intelligence gathering, immigration control, social security, and ooooooohhhhh I don't know maybe just all the bridges, roads, and streets that you've ever driven over in your entire life!!!

No, you're totally justified in complaining about ever having to pay a cent in taxes, I see it now, thank you for helping me see this huge injustice, wow, we need more people with your level of understanding
