Proactive. If you don't want to spend lots, I used to have lots of small pimples but got rid of them using these:
Neutrogena Deep Clean Scrub and Deep Clean Wash in the morning, followed by Neutrogena Clean makeup with Salicylic acid. It not only hides pimples, it diminishes them in size.
At night I wash off the makeup with Sea Breeze astringent (the light-blue not yellow kind) and put on Clean And Clear spot treatment gel with Salycylic acid. for big breakouts, i used Neutrogena benzoyl-peroxide (thick white paste in white squeeze bottle) after holding a VERY hot washcloth to my face to open all the pores. smear the benzoyl peroxide on and then reapply the HOT washcloth again. after five minutes, almost all your pimples are gone. don't touch your face!!

my suggestion is to see a doctor first. you need to determine which type of acne you have before choosing the right medication.
but let's say if you prefer not to see a doctor, then i'd suggest that you start with benzoyl peroxide. the way it works is that it dries up your face to eliminate the surface bacteria. it should work if you follow the guidelines including ONLY washing your face three times a day at most and never touching your face with your fingers or anything dirty. then after most of the pimples are gone, (should be within 1-2 months) switch to milder ones like salicylic acid 1% or glycolic acid. those will just help prevent acne formation and won't do much harm to your face as other chemicals do.( like benzoyl peroxide) Glycolic is also an excellent exfoliator, which , if used over a longer time, can make your skin smooth and radiant.
i used to have uncontrollable acne problem(all over my face) for more than 10 years, but i finally found a way that really works for me. i've never had any breakout for more than half a year since then, so i'm excited to share my experience with you, and hopefully this'll give you a sense on how to address your skin problem.

Dr. Murad’s Acne Complex says that 3 simple steps, 2 times a day can reduce and clear your skin in 4 weeks. Seeing the popularity of Acne Complex one can understand that Acne Complex is certainly effective.
In the Acne Complex kit there are 3 items. A Clarifying Cleanser, an Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel and a Skin Perfecting Lotion. The direction of use is given in the Acne Complex kit. Otherwise you can learn it on the website of Acne Complex. You can even order Acne Complex from their website too.

A good diet is a good start. What you put into your body has to come out. Sometimes it just doesn't come out the way you expect. Water & vegetables. No smoking or alcohol. Also lay off on the products....too many switches too so don't give your body time to adjust. Also go to the gym for a good sweat and wash out with cool water. Slow & significant changes to see what works for YOU. I hope you work it out! BOL
I didn't get to read the declines......however I'm sure I'd respond with piss off.....real people asking for help don't need your bullshit. Put yourself in someone else's shoes....chances are you'll walk home with your own.

By steering clear of all over-the-counter applications, and eating as much organic (free from chemicals GE, GM) foods as you possibly can. Keep out of air-conditioning, keep positive and feel good about yourself. Try not to pick them, it does make them worse then you end up with scarring. If you need to moisturise your skin (face) then I suggest Trilogy Rose Hip Oil (yes, its costly but you only need two drops for your face area) if you have oily skin doesn't matter, so do I. Its about $16 a bottle but it lasts up to 3-5 months and can be bought from your local health food store.

You have to be persistent it can take up to six months.
IMO don't buy proactiv, Total waste of money and when you cancel they keep sending them to you and asking you to pay.
Proactiv is not for everyone and don't be sold on the celebs on there! I mean P.diddy? In the promo he has 2-3 zits? WOW ..
See a doctor, They can give you medication and skin creams and face washes and they can advise you what is wrong with your skin.

I agree with Isis, My cousin used proactiv and her skin cleared up and shes been trying lots of stuff. You can check on the web for how much it costs. If you want to get it cheaper, try your hand on ebay.
