It is NEVER too late when it comes to education. At this age at least you have experience, patience, & wisdom to do the work. Grad school is hard, but it is completly worth it.

You'll never regret it unless you don't try.

Another plus...it is such a fabulous feeling to have that robe placed arounf your neck!! :)

Good Luck!

HA! no, not by any stretch of the imagination! Education needs to be a life long thing and I hope that when you're done with your bachelors, you move on to another bachelors or a masters or technical certificates. the more you know, the better off you are. you are never too old to learn and to earn degrees. I know someone who earned an associates degree at 45 without even realising it, he was always taking a class or two at nights and earned one in history. he earned his 3rd masters and 4th bachelors before he was 35 and completed his second phd two years ago. your age means nothing except that you have maturity. keep at it and dont ever get discouraged. dont allow anyone to tell you to give up. you only get one shot at life, make yours a good one!

No, you're not crazy. It is better to go back if you think a degree will furhter your career and earn higher pay better then no degree. I have been out of high school for approx. 12 years before I finally decided to enroll in my local community college. The reason why I waited so long to go was because of no financial help from my family. I had to earn my way. Even though I wished I had my family support in this decision, but at least I now graduated with an Associates degree and hopefully to find a long term postition realating to my work experience from working at the Federal Reserve Bank. So, it is great. Just follow your heart.

If you think you can handle it then go ahead. Go for it. You only live once so why not make the most of it, right? Plus, the older you are, the wiser you are and, to be honest, America needs some nurses that know what they are doing.

Good Luck! :-)

How much will it raise your salary?

How many more years do you plan to work?

How much debt will it put you in to or cost to attend school?

Calculate the long-term costs and financial gains and decide based on that.

During the process it will look crazy. However, it will finish soon. and while it is ongoing, enjoy it, cause you know so so much much more than the others do...they'd be so happy you were there for them!!
