Honestly I refuse to vote all democrat or all republican. i feel that checking that "party box" does not take into consideration each individual candidate. If someone has researched and believes that each dem or rep is what they agree with, then go for it. But too often people check the box and have no idea who they're voting for, they vote one way because so-and-so does. Personally, I voted mixed, some independents, some dems, and some reps.

I agree with MissyAnn. Don't just vote the party do vote the party. I didn't even vote in some of the races in my area because I did not know anything about the candidates. I would rather skip voting for that race than vote on someone I knew nothing about.

I'm going to college in Canada and forgot to get an absentee ballot in time to vote.

But even if I had a chance, I'm not sure who I would have voted for. I don't watch the news or read newspapers, so I don't even know who's running.

I'm in Connecticut. I voted Lieberman for Senate (Ind), Simmons for Congress (Repub), Rell for Governor (Repub). The lone Democrat I voted for was Attorney General Dick (he really is one, too) Blumenthal. He's a good AG.

For the rest of the state offices I just flipped the switch for Libertarian.

Reform party. Republican party. Democratic party. I vote the person not the party.

I always vote for the best man (or woman); 97% of the time, this person happens to be a Republican. Coincidence? I think not.

In Arizona there were 14 propositions on the ballot - the candidates took a back seat to the proposition issues.

I voted, like you, democrat. We all did. America has spoken, LOUD and CLEAR. WE want real leadership, not a half-wit dicator who can't find Osama and is out of touch.
I repeat, it isn't either party who has spoken, it is AMERICA!
