For Example, I live in Vancouver, If friend of mine who also live in Vancouver and goes to trip to New York. And while he is on this trip he emails me. Is there way of veryfing that the email was actually sent to me from New York, Not while he was in Vancouver.

An excellent resource for searching out registered IP's or at least the ISP domain's is http://www.arin.net/whois/
This is the one of the official registries for internet addresses and finding the IP and location of the ISP provider will at least be a first step in verifying your sender's location.
Unfortunately, there are many ways for the average person to 'spoof' an IP address, and even programs that will 'spoof' a computer's MAC address so nothing is absolute. Good luck!

On our paper money, we have "water marks" that identify the bill but not always easy to see. The same holds true with email. IP Addresses are embedded and for obvious reasons. You can search Google for "Embedded IP Addresses" and you'll no doubt pick up some knowledge that not everybody has. Hope this helps. Larry

not unless he uses a computer that has its ip in nyc then it should be in the header
