I had my tubes tied in '88 and had no complications at all. I had it done on Fri morn and was back @ work on Mon. I was sore for a few days and hurt in my shoulders but other than that everything went well. Just make sure that you are 100% positive you don't want more kids though.

Tubal ligation is fine if the procedure is done correctly. I had no ill effects, and sex improved. That was in 1997, and I still have no complaints. Disuss everything with your doctor first and make sure you understand his explanations and risks involved first. Good Luck to you. Breastfeeding depends of you and your milk supply

Just My opinion - If it is at all possible, don't do it. Let your spouse/partner get a vasectomy. I, and several of my friends, have had nothing but problems since we had our tubes tied. 5 of the 7 of us, have had recurring problems with cysts. All 7 of us, our periods increased, and so did the cramps, backaches, and length of bleeding time. 3 of the 7 of us, are not even 50, and we are starting to go thru menopause. They say, the younger you start going thru menopause, the longer it takes you to get thru it. Its not fun!!! Seriously, please consider other options. Good Luck -
