I have a light leather purse with ink stains and i can't get them out...

I know hairspray takes ink off. You might want to try some hairspray in an inconspicuous place first. Once you spray the ink stain with the hairspray rub it with a soft cloth. That should work.

The best way to clean leather is to use saddle soap. It's very inexpensive, you can get it in the shoe polish area. After washing with saddle soap, I would recommend using shoe grease or mink oil to condition the leather. If you do this once a year, your leather will always look like new.
