i need some help on my honors west civ project thats due tomorow...
i need to know what it is like to be a peasant under the rule of William the Conqueror.
what i need to do is write a letter acting as if i am a peasant in the time and under the rule of William the Conqueror!

They must therefore be restrained by the strong hand of justice. But if they are allowed to take their own course will be overwhelmed with poverty, shame and confusion.

Stick with peasant cliches. Talk about working long hours in your lord's feilds, scracthing fleas and eating next to nothing. If the letter is supposed to be to william the conqueror i would also throw in how his wonderful proctection makes your crappy life at least safe. if your teacher complains, just aruge that a peasant wouldn't want to piss of old willie and get himself killed.
