The Goddess of fiery explosions before Hawaiin legend was
named Lisai, and the word meant the most confused. The
legend is long and odd, goes like this. Lisai was the last of
a skilled people that lived in mauai, paddled to lanakai and
lost their ships, so they could not return. They found that
a previous inhabitant something like the Easter Island giants
had destroyed much of the livestock domestics like aliens
or uncivilized might do. So they built new ships and then an
angel appeared to Lisai's friend and told her to build a great
fire to signal that Peace came to the island. For she told her
your coming here with such great numbers reassures this is
a blessed heavenly place and the giants are gone and their
spoils are ruined, they will not return and not desecrate again.
The fire was a tradition something like for 2000 years on a
very high ledge as if signalling for even more to come from
other islands. Then to honor their effort the volcano was
named for them, because it appeared with another angel vision
and replaced them on their duties.

Kīlauea is an active volcano in the Hawaiian Islands, one of five shield volcanoes that together form the Island of Hawaiʻi. In Hawaiian, the word kīlauea means "spewing" or "much spreading", in reference to the mountain's frequent outpouring of lava. It is presently the most active volcano and one of the most visited active volcanoes on the planet.
