There are many hotels near the airport, depending on the cruise line most of them do offer free transportation to the port, but you do this well before your cruise. If you booked through a travel agent go back and have them set up the transportation, if you booked directly with the cruise line call them and ask about bus service. You can take a cab, its appx 1 hour to the port and will cost a minimum of $50.00, if you rent a car you take Route 528 east all the way and you will run right into the port. Good Luck KG

The port is a solid hour from Orlando so forget the taxi. I would first check with the cruise line (or your travel agent) to see if they operate a charter bus between the two. That is not unusual.
Otherwise, I would plan on staying in a hotel close to the port and also ask them if they offer a shuttle to the port. Another option, weekly car rentals can be fairly cheap in Florida due to the shear volume of tourists. Rent a car at the Orlando airport, park in the Port's garage during the cruise then return it to Orlando.

Try Residents Inn on Astronaut Blvd in Port Canaveral that is just outside the Port or you can stay anywhere in Cocoa Beach since that is about 3-4 miles away. Your best bet it to take the cab ride (around $60) to Cocoa Beach/ Cape Canaveral and stay the night here then in the morning catch a shuttle or a cab to the North side of the port for the cruise terminals.

You are headed for the vacation capital of the world. There is nothing but hotels. If you want free transport to the ship, you're best bet is to stay in Port Canaveral. Lots of hotels along US 1. Your best bet is to get off Yahoo Answers and go on line to the different hotel chains and ask them. La Quinta, Quality Inn, Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, these are among the less expensive hotels. Good luck. And have a great vacation!

Their are several hotels next to the airport, which is a straight shot to port canaveral. Taxi to hotels will be real cheap, around 30 dollars to port.
