Go on line to Disney and they will send you a free video that tells you everything you will need to know. They are the most accommodating company in the world. I've been there four times and I'm going back in March. You will love it.

You have to determine for yourself if you want the park hopper option or not. I don't usually get it, the couple of times I did, I didn't even use it. But I planned what restaurants I wanted to go to, made my reservations, and then used that to let me know which park I would be going to each day.
But many people like the flexibility of the park hopper. Maybe I am just lazy, but I prefer to do one park for a whole day. If I am already at the park where my dinner reservations are, I don't have to worry about figuring in travel time, etc. Now if you are planning on doing a dinner outside of the parks, like at one of the resorts, after dinner you might want to go to a different park than where you spent your morning & afternoon, so in that case a park hopper would be better.
Like I said, it is a personal choice.
You can purchase tickets directly from the Walt Disney World website, through AAA , or if you have a Disney Store nearby, you can buy them there.
Have fun!!

You should get hopper tickets, with a base ticket you can only visit one park in one day, with a hopper ticket you can visit any of the 4 major theme parks as much as you want, this helps with dining, you could go to animal kingdom in the morning and epcot for dinner at night and not have to buy a seperate ticket. Also if you are a AAA member many AAA offices especially on the east coast offer discount tickets in their offices.

Purchase your tickets from AAA or your local Disney Store to get a small discount. Or just get them from Disney directly at www.disneyworld.com
If you'd like to have more flexibility on your trip, I recommend the park hoppers. They allow you to jump in and out of the parks all in a single day. If you have 4 or more days to see the parks, I recommend the base tickets and just spend a day at each park.

Generally, I don't buy the hopping option, but you should check the park hours during the time of your trip... it could be a savings, for example if Animal Kingdom closed at 5...
